Spiritual Gifts in the Church Today

Born Jan. 1, and a native of Detroit, MI. life really changed for Rita on August 13th, 1978 when she met the late Bishop David Ellis through the travel agency where was employed and was invited to Greater Grace Temple where she was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost. She was also in the process of pursuing a career in nursing when those plans were interrupted with eh Call of the Ministry, the Gospel of Jesus Christ “Follow Me: I will make you a nurse to men.
Rita began her early ministerial / discipleship training under the late Bishop David Ellis leadership and spiritual fathering. She remained there for 11 years. In 1989, she was given permission to transfer to the sister church, Greater Grace Temple (O.G Hayes Memorial) currently located in Taylor, MI, where she has served with her Pastor and natural brother, Bishop Gary Harper for 27 years. Evangelist Green received her Ministerial License in19192 and Ordination Credentials by the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Inc. in the year 2000. She is a devoted student of God’s Word, a Teacher, Preacher and all about saving soul!
Evang. Green is gifted by God and was blessed to serve in many capacities within the church; some of which included Spiritual Mother, Missionary/Alter President; Director of the School of Ministry Promoting Gifts of the Spirit; organized Seven International Mission trips to Jamaica, West Africa and South Africa; served as Women’s Advisor, Christian Education Director, Pastoral Administrative Assistant and Chana West Africa Advisory Board Assistant to Bishop Gary Harper.
On February 2016, Evangelist Green and her husband Gary Green were called to Pastoring together. Calvary Apostolic Ministry was planted by the Lord and they were installed by both Spiritual fathers, Bishop Gary harper and Former Presiding Bishop Charles H Ellis III. Calvary is now apart of the Northern District Council of Michigan, Bishop Ira Combs, Diocesan.
Evang. Green is currently serving as Co-Pastor of Calvary Apostolic beside her husband who is the Senior Pastor. Evang. Green says the start of their ministry together is a love story and testimony for their marriage of now 38 years. They have two adult daughters and one son who made his transition to be with the Lord in December 2010.
